A new chapter begins
Today’s the day. Tonight I take a one-way flight out of London and this chapter of my life living in the UK will officially come to an end.
Our flat, our home for the past 3 years, is stripped of all our belongings. Its now an empty shell, ready for the next tenants.
It’s both sad to know you’re hardly a blip on the radar among London’s 8 million residents, yet oddly comforting at the same time. The city will carry on, and it will still be standing here, doing it’s thing, if and when I ever return.
I’m so grateful to those key people who helped shaped my experience in this big, bustling city. I know I’ve made some friends for life, and its only as I’m leaving that I truly realise how many people have been a part of my journey here.
I know though, that I’m taking the best part of London back home with me….my partner! He will help me keep that link back here to my ‘second home’, and we will be sure to visit again, for I know I’m leaving a little piece of my heart here.
On the other side of this flight is an epic adventure through SE Asia. I can’t wait to share with you all the stories of my adventures, but I won’t be blogging while I’m on the road. I’ll be posting pictures and updates on social media though, using #BigTripHome2019 if you want to follow!

Farewell London, I will never forget you.
